Why is Cold Process Soap Considered the Best Handmade Soap?

Cold process soap is made with plant oils and natural lye, without preservatives, foaming agents, or synthetic fragrances, making it gentle on sensitive and dry skin. It naturally produces glycerin, a moisturizer that keeps skin soft and hydrated, unlike commercial soaps that remove it. Its eco-friendly and low-carbon production.

 In this session, you’ll craft up to 10 large stones and 12 small stones. 

This workshop uses a classic Marseille soap formula, featuring olive oil, coconut oil, and sustainably sourced palm oil. 100% natural!  It’s beginner-friendly and entirely free from artificial fragrances. 

Process:

• Prepare the Recipe: Learn about the characteristics of different oils and measure the correct ratios.
• Mix the Lye Solution: Safely handle and mix lye with the oils.
• Blend the Soap Batter: Stir the mixture until it reaches the ideal consistency.
• Pour into Molds: Pour the soap batter into molds and let it set.

Workshop Details:

• Batch Size: 600g, enough to produce 10 large stones and 12 travel size stones.
• Duration: 1.5–2 hours.
• You may return to the studio 3-30 days after the session to collect your soap. 
• Curing Time: The soap requires a minimum of 30 days to cure for safe use, which means it needs to be stored in a place with good airflow.

• Class Size: We pride ourselves on maintaining small class sizes (1-4 ppl) to ensure each participant receives personalized attention. If you’re coming solo or as a pair, we’ll try to arrange a private session. While we can’t guarantee it every time, we’ll do our best!

為什麼冷製皂被認為是最好的手工皂？

冷製皂使用植物油）和天然鹼水製作，不含防腐劑、起泡劑或合成香精，成分簡單，對皮膚更溫和。長期使用可以改善肌膚乾燥與敏感問題。冷製皂在皂化過程中自然產生甘油（Glycerin），這是一種天然的保濕成分，讓肌膚柔嫩不乾燥。另外，製作冷製皂的過程低碳，且成分天然、可生物分解。

我們使用經典的馬賽皂配方(橄欖油、椰子油和可持續認證的棕櫚油)來製作這款石頭皂，其配方起源於敘利亞的阿勒頗，至今已有上千年的傳承。馬賽皂以其溫和、滋潤的特性深受喜愛。

製作流程：

1. 學習基礎知識：了解冷製皂工藝及所用油脂的特性。
2. 打皂：混合油脂與鹼液，啟動皂化反應。
3. 倒模：將混合液倒入模具中靜置凝固。

課程詳情：

• 皂液量： 600g，可製作約10塊大石頭皂以及12塊小石頭皂。
• 課程時長： 1.5-2小時。
• 晾皂時間： 手工皂需晾置30天後才能安全使用。您可在製作後的3-30天回到工作室取皂。可自行晾皂。工作室最多保留皂塊30天。
• 語言： 導師可用英語、粵語和普通話授課。
• 人數：我們堅持小班制(1-4人)，確保每位學員都能得到細心的照顧。如果您是一人或兩人參加，我們會盡力安排專屬的私人課程。不過，私人課程的安排可能會因情況有所調整，敬請理解。
